I am seriously in love with MindManager. :)
Being a fiend who summarizes life in general using mind maps (by hand), this program beats the cr*p out of, humiliates and absolutely defeats !#¤&%/)(%-ing Powerpoint forever and ever.

Now, I can not only catch! tame! and cage! my flurrying thought myriads (so I can see them properly without zoning out...) - I can do nifty stuff like link files and web links to the branches, assign due dates and lots of other office-nerdzy organizational stuff!
In fact, I used it yesterday to explain to my professor exactly what I wanted to do my Lic-research thesis on. Astounded my the clarity of the mind map, he not only said yes, but also contributed some 'bubbles'.
Jooooy... :)
Furthermore, I was in Tampere, Finland between wednesday and thursday (job meeting), and came to an unforeseen revelation:
I am also in love with Koskenkorva blueberry vodka. It's not blue, but certainly berry.

(incidentally, do visit the site, if only to listen to the beautiful voiceover, who seamlessly transfers from a british to a finnish accent when she says "koskenkorva.com". )
Now Ladies, we too can be metrosexuals. ;)
(oh hey, the sun came out! amazement!!)
I hate PowerPoint. I'm using it right now for a report and I honestly can do without it.
ReplyDeleteThough, if you're into mapping things out like so, you should also consider Keynote!
